Ahmos Zu-Bolton severed in the army in Vietnam, after his return he Zu-Bolton founded Hoo-Doo, a magazine dedicated to African American activism and art.  Zu- Bolton published A Niggered Amen in 1975, he also wrote Ain’t No Spring Chicken: Selected Poems.  His work has appeared in several literary magazines and anthologies including Giant Talk, Mississippi Writers: Reflections of Childhood and Youth, Vol. III, and Black Southern Voices.
